STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-06-16 (Week 25) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * On DOY 165, at 1800Z, APL temporarily suspended its Internet connection to thwart a cyber attack. The Restricted IONet, the network that is used for real-time S/C operations, was unaffected. On DOY 166, at 1722Z, the three primary external workstations that receive DSN data and instrument remote commanding, and distribute real-time telemetry and data products were restored. This resulted in a one day delay of the processing and distribution of science data products. All SSR data was recovered. Also, real-time telemetry distribution and real-time remote instrument commanding were not available for three tracks. Each track continues to be staffed until remote monitoring services are restored. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 24 * The 9th SECCHI stepped calibration on Ahead was carried out on Ahead early this morning (Jun 9). * On DOY 161, during the DSS 54 support, the pre-track ranging calibration could not be performed due to an equipment problem. See DR# M105372 for more information (Ahead) * The average daily SSR downlink was 6.0 gigabits on Ahead and Behind. Week 25 * The fifth HI 180 degree rolls are scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, at 01:50 for Ahead, and 15:50 for Behind. * The LRO/LCROSS launch window opens on Wednesday, Jun 17. The impact is favorable, short tracks have been restored. * There is a short 2.2 hour pass for Ahead on Thursday, Jun 18 to minimize the gap that would otherwise occur. * The 10th SECCHI stepped calibration roll on Behind is scheduled for Tuesday, Jun 16, at 11:30. This is the midpoint roll. * The Behind pass on Friday, Jun 19 (late Thursday local time) is 3.4 hours instead of the usual 5 hours. Week 26 * There is currently no Behind track scheduled for Jun 22, leading to a 48 hour gap between days 172-174 (Jun 21-23). APL is still working with the scheduler to try to resolve this. * The 22nd momentum dump on Ahead is scheduled for Thursday, Jun 25, starting at 20:00. Week 27 * Behind: high gain antenna calibration #10 at 17:00 UT on July 1. * Ahead: high gain antenna calibration #10 at 14:00 UT on July 2. Other * No date has been set yet for the reset on Ahead. This is expected to occur sometime in August, possibly in the first week.
