STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2009-07-28 (Week 31) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * Because of the reset and recovery operations, it was decided to move the regular weekly telecon to Monday, Aug 3, at the usual time of 12:30. INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 30 * Telemetry lock was intermittent during part of the station 45 pass for Ahead on day 202 (Jul 21). This resulted in some loss of SECCHI data for both days 201 (Jul 20) and 202. * Commanding was not available during the station 45 pass on Ahead on day 206 (Jul 25) because of low transmitter power. All required commanding had been accomplished during the prior pass on the same day. * There was a brief losss of telemetry lock during the station 26 pass on Behind on day 203 (Jul 22). This resulted in the loss of some IMPACT telemetry. * The 17th momentum dump on Behind was carried out on Thursday, day 204 (Jul 23), with ignition at 23:45 UT. A delta-V of 0.056 m/s was imparted. * The average daily SSR downlink was 6.3 gigabits for Ahead, and 6.2 gigabits for Behind. Week 31 * The 23rd momentum dump was be carried out on Ahead this morning (Jul 28). Ignitition was 6 minutes late at 12:36 UT because of problems running the script at the console. This delay should not cause a significant error. The momentum is expected to be near zero for next week's reset. * The 7th HI 180 degree roll on Ahead will take place on Wednesday, July 29, starting at 21:50 UT. * The new flight software will be written to copy 2 on Thursday, day 211 (Jul.30), around 20 UT. * There are several shorter tracks occurring on Behind this week. The track on day 211 (Jul 30), starting at 0 UT, will be 4.8 hours long. The track on day 212 (Jul 31) will be 4.4 hours long. * The MOC will have limited Blackberry service on Saturday (Aug 1). However SMS text service will be available, and the MOC will be able to support an unattended track as usual. Week 32 * A spreadsheet detailing the plans for the system reset has been distributed. * SECCHI does not plan to command on the Ahead track starting at 02:10 on day 215 (Aug 3). * The Ahead track on day 216 (Aug 4) starting at 05:45 will be used to ramp down instrument high voltages and other last minute instrument commanding. The time tagged commands for the reset will also be loaded during this track. * The flight softwre reset will begin during the 8 hour track starting at 09:40 UT on day 216 (Aug 4). There is a backup 8 hour track the following day starting at 10:35 UT, which will be used for recovery. Recovery will continue during the 5 hour track on day 217 (Aug 5), starting at 20:40 UT. * An Ahead track on day 220 (Aug 8) slipped 35 minutes. It is now starting at 19:00 UT. * The start time for a Behind track on day 215 (Aug 3) has changed to 21:35. * The 7th HI 180 degree roll on Behind will take place on Wednesday, day 217 (Aug 5), starting at 15:50 UT. * The Behind track on day 216 (Aug 4) starting at 19:40 is 3.7 hours. * The Behind track on day 218 (Aug 6) starting at 0 UT is 4.8 hours. * Beacon telemetry should be available at the end of the reset track. Week 33 * The Ahead track on day 222 (Aug 10) starting at 10:45 will be performed at 360 kbps as a test. * The track duration for both spacecraft will increase to 6 hours in preparation for switching to 360 kbps. The actual switch will occur for Ahead on day 229 (Aug 17), and for Behind on day 251 (Sep 8). This will maintain an RF margin of 2 dB. * The 8th SECCHI HI 180 degree roll will occur on Ahead on day 225 (Aug 13) starting at 01:50 UT. * The Behind pass starting on day 221 at 23:15 UT is 5 hours in duration. * The Behind pass starting on day 223 at 22:45 UT is 5.7 hours in duration.
